MEETING US WHERE WE ARE • LEADING US TO HIS PURPOSE

— JEREMIAH 29:11

Our Story and Vision

I find while writing this, I have to be real...this is tough. I never wanted to have to write something expressing "Who Caleb WAS", I always thought it would be in the "NOW". Caleb Matthew born on 1-16-1993 and taken away way too soon on 2-10-2016. Our 6'4 son stood tall, made a room light up, made everyone feel important no matter who you were, or what you had done. He was an affectionate tall big bundle of love, handsome, and gifted with talent to write, sing and play music on guitar and piano. His passion was to sit for hours and write music and play guitar with friends. He often found it difficult to fully pursue his dreams as a musician, struggling with the questions of how will I ever make this happen? Caleb never had a jealous bone in his body and would brag about others and build them up to see their dreams of being a musician happen, so that is why we are passionate about this fund raiser. So this is our Mission Statement, to help other young people to be able to use their gift of music and performing arts.

It often is difficult to find the funds to provide for those passionately pursuing this gift that they are born with, a Gift from God. Matt and I feel to bring hope to those who aren't the "traditional students" who are not sure where to go, how to do it, how will I ever have funds to even buy an instrument. Half of the money raised will go to North Paulding Drama and Music departments for a scholarship for a student who desires to pursue their dreams in this industry and the other half will be helping students from Honors Academy in Honduras where our family has put every ounce of energy and who they are to help those in a third world country have hope. These children at this school who normally would only be able to dream of playing an instrument will have the opportunity to have a dream begin to come true. Caleb's motto was "No Judgement", something that could all be used by everyone on this earth. With No Judgement we are able to help young people where they are, then help to show them a different path, a path full of hopes, dreams and prayers answered.

GRACE appeared when we heard the words “Caleb is gone” GRACE appeared when we found ourselves laying on the floors of our home screaming “NO NO NO”. GRACE appeared when we kissed his cold lips for the last time. Oh the mighty GRACE of God that sustains us all when darkness invades. Now we stand not healed or whole, but knowing because of GOD we will continue to make it. HIs GRACE was greater. Today I want you to know no matter what you are facing God is with you. I am a living testimony that HE will sustain.
